Yoga Platform

We are very proud of our new yoga shala overlooking the lake and Volcan San Pedro, with space to accommodate 14-16 students plus a teacher. The yoga platform sits surrounded by lush gardens and waterfall alongside that provides the sound of water throughout your yoga practice.

Built from hard wood, floating to be gentle on your knees, the platform has a roof for rainy times as well as night lighting to meet the needs of yoga classes at any time of the day. We also provide brand new yoga mats, blocks and straps and pillows, and a high-quality Bluetooth sound system.

Main Swimming Dock

This is where the boat comes in that brings you to the property.  But we’ve also created a grassy lawn area by the water with hammocks and hanging chairs for a small yoga group or just for hanging out and taking in the sunset.  Swimming off the dock is great, of course.

Massage Dock

A second dock on the far side of the property can be set up for massage (with privacy curtains).  There’s also a table and chairs for dining or a glass of wine or a smoothie.

We particularly love the vintage wooden cayuco boat that hangs from the rafters of the massage dock roof where you can sit and swing or take in the sunset.

Rose & Hammock Garden

With two hammocks and two hanging chairs, and a grassy flat lawn for impromptu yoga or sunbathing in our custom-built chaises, this spot is perfect for taking in the sunset with a cool drink.

Gathering Room

As much as we love to be outdoors doing the day—and often in the evening, too—it can feel good gathering your group in our spacious living room, surrounded by the work of local artists and artisans.  Plenty of chairs and pillows for all. On a cool night, light a fire.

Charmion Harris, Montana

10 stars for food, staff and retreat organization!  I do not eat gluten, dairy and most animal products - and every meal was as good or better than had I travelled to a popular restaurant in Kansas City that I love. Everything is done with beautiful intention here by the staff, and it shows.  The gardens, landscaping, construction,

All of the lodging was so comfortable and beautiful, incorporating natural and elegant design together.

My activity favorites were: yoga on the platform, riding in the back of the pickup along the lake, walking into San Marcos and around the other villages, making wonderful new friends.”

Temescal (Sauna)

Miguel and Mateo will make sure the sauna is hot every day for your guests with freshly cut eucalyptus branches right outside the door. There’s an outdoor shower right outside the door for cooling off.

Or— after your sauna—choose our preferred option: dive into the lake from either of our swimming docks. Then come back for Round Two in the sauna. Our sauna seats six guests comfortably.

Swimming & Water Activities

The property comes with three kayaks and a standup paddleboard. Life jackets are available. The water’s great, and because Casa Paloma sits in its own private little bay, you don’t need to worry about boat traffic.

Outdoor Pizza Oven

Let Rosa host a pizza night for you.  Her gluten free pizza is just as delicious as her regular style of pizza. Don’t miss her pesto pizza (using basil grown in our organic garden) and her pear/arugula / blue cheese pizza, among others.

Outdoor Kitchen

With coffee maker, refrigerator, two-burner stove, blender and utensils, for guests who’d like to whip up a quick snack (though with Rosa cooking, we doubt you’ll need one.) We keep the outdoor kitchen stocked with freshly roasted coffee grown at the Lake.

“I find myself dreaming of Casa Paloma and the peaceful state of mind I experienced while there.  There were many best moments but I have to say that my morning swims were restorative in ways no therapist can replicate.”
