Casa Paloma
A luxury retreat center on the shores of Lake Atitlán, Guatemala
Located just outside the Mayan indigenous village of San Marcos la Laguna on the shores of one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, Lake Atitlan, Casa Paloma has been lovingly developed over more than twenty years as a retreat center and gathering place where workshop leaders, teachers, friends and family reunion groups can come together to spend time, share wonderful meals, explore the Mayan world and the natural beauty of the area, practice yoga, swim, kayak, hike or simply relax.
Host a Retreat
If you are looking for a tranquil and luxurious space for your next yoga, wellness, or writing retreat, Casa Paloma is your place.
We’ve been hosting workshops at Casa Paloma for over twenty years— writing workshops, yoga retreats, a breath work retreat, an exploration of Mayan culture and history, several family reunions, girlfriend weeks, and the post-wedding celebration of a couple from the U.S. with twenty of their closest friends from all over the world.
“Casa Paloma is unlike any other property you have ever been to, or even seen online. The spaces themselves have unique details, infused with Guatemalan art and design. The surrounding gardens are filled with a wide variety of plants, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
On top of all this, there is the most breathtaking view of Lake Atitlan and the surrounding volcanoes and villages. Wow. It looks and feels like a dream, and will be one of the most memorable visits of your lifetime.”

Stay on Lake Atitlan
Book your stay on our gorgeous property full of alive abundance and relaxing spots lakeside.
Called by many one of the most magical spots on the planet, Lake Atitlan and the surrounding countryside offers incomparable natural beauty as well as a rich heritage of Mayan traditions and respect for spiritual life.
The village of San Marcos—a ten minute walk from the property—offers a wide range of healing opportunities as well as lively restaurants and cafes and purveyors of local crafts and a small nature preserve. But you don’t have to leave the property to experience nature: one recent guest to Casa Paloma counted thirty distinct species of birds, all observed (and heard) from the Casa Paloma gardens in the early morning hours.
